1st March 2007 - Rampage

Rampage is George Gittoes story of three brothers, their love for hip hop, and the cycle of violence and retribution their family has been locked into for generations.

Reportedly the second in a documentary trilogy, Rampage is Australian filmmaker George Gittoes' follow up to Soundtrack of War (2005), his documentary essay on the music listened to by soldiers in Iraq. In it he discovered a would-be rap star, 23 year-old US soldier Elliott Lovett. Lovett convinces Gittoes that his life in the Miami 'Brown Sub' is just as dangerous as the war torn streets of Iraq. In turn Gittoes talks Elliott into taking two weeks leave, dutifully following him home to the US, cameras and his son Harley in tow. Rampage is the result.
