13th Japanese Occupational Science Symposium
A pre-conference workshop on 21 November 2009 will be held at the University of West Kyushu, Saga Prefecture. The topic is: "Nature, Occupation and Culture: Global Environmental Change and Human Activity".
The symposium, to be held November 22-23, is being organised by Mami Aoyama and Mark Hudson. Moses Ikiugu is a keynote speaker. The main lectures are Bruce Batten "The environment and lifestyles in Japanese history" (in Japanese but with English text available); Moses Ikiugu "Occupational performance and survival of the human species: why does it matter what we do from dawn to dusk?" (English presentation with Japanese translation); and Kazuo Aoyama "Environmental change and human activities as seen from Maya civilization" (in Japanese).
