Dr Alison Wicks presented a paper a the Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa Conference in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and then participated in the Occupational Justice Symposium and Think Tank hosted by the University of Cape Town, in Cape Town, South Africa.
Dr Wicks was a guest lecturer for the Occupational Therapy program in the School of Health, University of Newcastle.
Dalhousie University, in Halifax, Canada re appointed Dr Wicks as Adjunct Professor in the School of Occupational Therapy and Adjunct Academic in the Faculty of Graduate Studies

Exhibitions of the Nowra Skate Park project were held at the Shoalhaven City Council, Nowra Youth Centre and Shoalhaven Campus during Youth Week.
January-February 2009
AOSC conducted a workshop on occupation-focused practice for the Occupational Therapy Department at Royal North Shore Hospital, in Sydney.
Another two students, undertaking a Masters in Health Science ( Occupational Therapy) at the University of Western Ontario, Canada completed a 6 week fieldwork placement at AOSC.

Dr Wicks was keynote speaker at the Inaugural Occupational Science Symposium in Taipei, Taiwan.
September 2008
AOSC awarded a prize in the 2008 Meroogal Women’s Art Prize for the work that best represented an occupational perspective. The winner was Bethany Thurtell for her work, 'Circle of Life'.
Dr Alison Wicks was a keynote speaker at the 14th ENOTHE meeting in Berlin. She was also a visiting scholar at Hogeschool van Amsterdam, in the Netherlands and at Karolinksa Institute in Sweden.

AOSC provided a 6 week fieldwork placement for two students undertaking a Masters in Health Science at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario in Canada. These students were the first international exchange students at Shoalhaven Campus. Click here for more information

on 21 December, to support the development of the
AOSC as an educational and research centre at the
Shoalhaven Campus.
